KHNJ is presenting a special opportunity for female devotees to participate in the Pongala ritual for Attukal Devi at the Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple in Morganville, New Jersey.
The event is scheduled for February 25, 2024, Sunday, starting at 10 AM EST.
All essential items for the Pongala will be supplied. Devotees are required to contribute $50 per offering to support the temple expenses, and this fee is non-refundable.

An in-depth exploration into the culture, tradition, heritage, and language of Kerala
Jalakam, a great platform provided by KHNJ offering young learners with a wonderful opportunity to experience and learn the culture, tradition, heritage, and the Malayalam language from the comfort of their homes.
Our volunteers teach the classes, and we have put together a curriculum with an objective of not only teaching Malayalam but also providing an insight into our rich heritage including our festivals, temples, folklores, and places of historical importance.
Our classes are fully online and cost $ 50 per child for a season. Life members pay $40 per family per season.
Through this program, students will learn the following:
There will be two streams for this season
Stream 1: Malayalam Language Class: Covering the conversation, reading, and writing of Malayalam language. Syllabus is partially based on the one prescribed by the Kerala State Government Malayalam Mission (www.mm.Kerala.gov.in)
Stream 2: Explore Kerala Class: Introduces the culture, myths, festivals, temples of Kerala and many more.
Classes Starts on January 17th, 2024.
We will be alternating these sessions every Wednesday 7.00 PM – 7.45 PM EST.

We will start the day with a sumptuous sit down full service Vazha ila sadya followed by Panchari melam and Singari melam, Mahabali procession, Mega Thiruvathira and cultural events.
