About KHNJ

Kerala Hindus of New Jersey is a non-profit organization formed with an objective to unite all Kerala Hindus of New Jersey, to help build strong inter-community bonds, and to serve the society at large. We aim to sustain the rich traditional and cultural heritage we inherited and pass it on to the younger generations.

By promoting acceptance and partnering locally with various social activities, KHNJ will help build a more peaceful and vibrant  society. We will also be instrumental in building a bridge between the philosophical and spiritual East and the technical and modern West, enabling a seamless integration of both the cultures.

Our Mission

“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the world is one big family and we are proud members of this family — is our operational philosophy.

Our Objectives

  • To bring about unity among Kerala Hindus living in New Jersey
  • To create a support system for the New Jersey Hindu community
  • To host and conduct Hindu cultural events
  • To promote wellbeing of the community members
  • To sustain the rich Hindu cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations
  • To coexist and work with other faiths for the betterment of our society
  • To participate and promote social activities and charity — to build a bridge between Eastern and Western cultures

The more we come out and do good to others, the more our hearts will be purified, and God will be in them.
